Flush, 2019

Dana Blickensderfer's body of paintings series, Flush, invites the viewer to discover and examine ideas of sensuality. “She reflects on the subject of sensuality and womanhood through a narrative approach and reflection of her family history, family memorabilia, photographs, and her current position as a female artist and entrepreneur.” She intertwines images of adolescence and her current feminine self. The narrative selects a color palette of fleshy pinks, creamy whites, and deep blacks, shifting between figuration and gestural abstraction.
